Performs skin testing and pulmonary function testing for outpatient clinic patients. Instructs patients in the use of study medications, diaries, and study procedures. Explains to patients and parents allergy environmental control measures. Following established procedure, guides patients through the Allergy Immunology Program. Monitors quality control of clinical procedures and/or assessments. Assists with clinical research studies. Conducts preliminary telephone interviews to explain procedures and eligibility requirements. Schedules study patients after obtaining pertinent demographic data and assists with study patient visits. Works together with all program staff to ensure that the highest quality of service is consistently provided to patients and families visiting the clinic. Communicates issues to Tech II, Lead Technician and/or Practice Administrator. Maintains database of all up-to-date immunotherapy patients including new and returning patients. Coordinates appropriate delivery of immunotherapy to Boston Children’s Hospital clinic locations. Requests appointments in Epic for patch testing, new shot patients, and scratch testing. May perform Clinical Assistant role when necessary for clinic flow (must be signed off on all vital signs). Performs weekly checks of supplies, and extracts, and sends to Lead Technician. Travels to satellite locations to perform these duties.

The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
