This role involves performing congenital cardiac MRI procedures, assessing and preparing patients by evaluating requisitions and selecting appropriate technical parameters while ensuring exceptional patient care and communication throughout the process. Additionally, it requires maintaining equipment, supporting daily operations, participating in meetings, complying with regulations, and engaging in continuous professional development aligned with hospital values.
Key Responsibilities

Performing MRI Procedures: Conduct congenital cardiac MRI procedures, both scheduled and emergency, while assessing the appropriateness of prescribed procedures based on diagnosis and clinical signs.

Patient Identification and Communication: Identify patients using hospital policy identifiers, assess their physical and emotional status, and develop a care plan to meet specific needs. Explain examinations and respond to questions from patients and parents.

Equipment Management: Select appropriate equipment and technical parameters for procedures, and report equipment malfunctions through the designated application.

Operational Support: Assist in organizing and maintaining daily operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to quality and safety protocols.

Professional Development and Compliance: Participate in meetings, comply with regulations such as HIPAA, maintain professional credentials, and engage in continuous education and training in line with hospital values.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
Associates degree in Allied Health required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.Experience
Radiologic Technologist with training in Diagnostic Radiology preferred.Licensure/Certification
- MRI registered by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible and completed within 18 months of hire date.
- Must meet, successfully complete, and maintain the ARRT certification.
- BLS certification.
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
